Fighting Dems Take the Hill Forty Democratic candidates for U.S. Congress - all veterans - gathered between the U.S. Capitol and the Washington Monument to tell the American people that this "Band of Brothers" was coming together to take "The Hill" ... again.
While there are many Democratic nominees who are candidates for races across the country, there are still more who are currently in a primary. Listed below all of the Democratic veterans who are running for office and the other Democrats they're facing in their races, if there are any. Veterans are listed in bold.

We editors here at W-Dems.blogspot.com urge all Democratic voters, activists, and independents who TRULY "Support the Troops" to visit the Democrats.org webpage (cited here), and support these great candidates.
Further, if Democrats want ONE must-win, can't lose, NO DOWNSIDE issue to portray the Republicans and Bush administration as the heartless, deceptive, media-manipulating cronies that they are, that would be the Senator PATTY MURRAY AMENDMENT to fund $2.7 billion dollars for VETERAN's REHAB and care.
We here at WimpyDems are AMAZED that even the fighting veteran's organizations, such as Paul Reichoff's IAVA (Iraq and Afghan Veterans of America), and "mainstream" veteran's organizations, either do not know about, or fail to publicize, the DEFEAT of the MURRAY AMENDMENT on a STRAIGHT PARTY LINE VOTE, ** Republicans ** refusing to fund the Murray Amendment despite their leadership saddling our military and veterans with THREE YEARS of WAR, repeat tours, and administration attempts to SLASH veteran's funding.
